Maui Activities Maui has not been named best island world-wide (for 12 consecutive years) just because of our many beautiful beaches. There really are so many things to do on Maui to keep everyone happy. Luau's - A luau (in Hawaiian, lū‘au) is a great Hawaiian feast. It features ono (Hawaiian word for wonderful) food, such as poi, salads, pork, poke, lomo salmon, opihi and our favorite dessert- haupia. Luaus also feature entertainment, such as Hawaiian music and hula, which is traditional Hawaiian male and female dancing. It's fun to watch after your feast while you sip on your favorite tropical drink. There are many luaus on Maui. Some luaus are better than others and those that are lower priced are generally not worth it in our opinion as they skimp on food and entertainment. If you are coming all the way to Hawaii, spend a few extra dollars for a nice experience. A luau is one of the best Maui activities. |
